Why is it that "proud Americans" constantly abandon their own countrymen ?

Some 'Proud Americans' will abandon all but the countrymen that are just like them. In thought, color and income bracket. I believe THIS is what will ultimately be our country's downfall. And if people don't wake up, it will be sooner than they think.
