Need advice on box turtles!?

I love box turtles! Turtles under stress or mal-nourishment will lay bad eggs. They are usually laid just before winter and hatch during the spring. She seems to have held onto them for quite a while this could be because of the situation in her former tank. She was to afraid of the others eating or crushing them.
