Do you think this Christmas poem is appropriate and appealing for 8th graders? Please help me out!?

I'm in 8th grade, and although I'm in all honors cles, I understand it well and I think it's appropriate, although some kids might laugh a little or give each other looks for some of the lines that include words like "ist", "gay," etc. I think it's a meaningful poem, and although it's a little difficult to understand, it's a really good poem. =D Happy Holidays!!!
